A certified translation of a vehicle registration certificate is most often needed when registering a car imported from abroad. At 100 AT we quote the document after you send a scan, so you quickly know the cost, the deadline and whether the office will also require other vehicle-related translations.

When is a translation of the registration certificate needed?

Most often when registering a vehicle from Germany, France, Italy or another EU country, and also whenever the Traffic Department requires the full set of foreign documents together with a sworn translation.

If you are importing a car and want to check the entire document pack up front, see also the translation of vehicle documents.

Is a scan of the registration certificate enough for a quote?

Yes. For an initial quote a clear scan or photo of both sides of the registration certificate is usually sufficient. This lets us confirm the cost, the deadline and whether it is worth sending the purchase contract, invoice or vehicle card as well.

This is particularly convenient when you want to handle the order remotely or gather everything before your visit to the office.

How much does translating a registration certificate cost?

The standard price for translating a registration certificate is usually 80–120 PLN. The exact cost depends on the language, the number of pages and whether the document contains additional annotations.

If, in addition to the certificate itself, you also have a purchase contract or invoice, it is best to send the whole set for a single quote. The full certified translation price list 2026 also shows indicative rates for other vehicle documents.

How long does it take?

The typical turnaround is 1 business day. For urgent cases we can often prepare the translation on the same day if the document arrives in the morning.

If you need to register the car quickly, it is best to send the document for a quote right away and add your planned appointment date at the office.

Is the registration certificate alone enough to register the car?

Not always. In many cases the office also asks for the purchase contract, invoice, vehicle card, deregistration document or other attachments confirming the vehicle's history. The scope depends on the country of origin of the car and the specific procedure.

That is why before ordering it is worth sending the whole set, to avoid a situation where after preparing one translation you have to quickly order more.

Which documents should you send together with the certificate?

Most often these are the purchase contract, invoice, vehicle card, deregistration documents or additional import certificates. If you have the full set, it is best to send it right away for a single quote, because then it is easier to confirm the full cost and deadline.
